Rise Cayman is several days of music, faith, and purpose held across the Cayman Islands, anchored on the Emancipation Day holiday in May 2027.
We're early, and we're talking with a handful of organizations we respect before the shape of the weekend gets locked. Palau is one of them.
There's no specific ask attached to this. We're building the platform, and we'd rather you look at what's here and tell us what would actually be worth your time.
Maybe that's the mainstage. Maybe it's work with the churches on island long before the weekend arrives. It might be the room full of leaders who'll be there, or something we haven't thought of at all.
And if the answer is not this time, that's a fine answer too. So take a look at what follows, and if anything in it sparks an idea, we want to hear it.
At a crusade in Jamaica in the 1990s, Andrew Palau gave his life to Christ. Whatever has happened in the thirty years since, and a great deal has, it began on an island in this part of the world.
We're not going to dress that up as strategy. It's simply true, and it's the reason your name came up first when we sat down to talk about who should carry the message.
There's a working version of the same point. BeachFest already proved that sand, sun, music, and a clear Gospel invitation belong together in the same weekend. Cayman is that idea again, in a country small enough to reach all the way to its edges.
The island shows up because it's a holiday weekend and the music is worth the ticket. The leaders show up because their organizations flew them in. Both are sitting in front of the same stage when the invitation comes.
Most of the Caribbean marks Emancipation in August. Cayman marks it in May, and the reason is worth sitting with for a minute.
When the proclamation was read here in 1835, the formerly enslaved were made immediately free, with no apprenticeship period attached, because the slave owners on these islands had never registered with the British government. Elsewhere freedom arrived on an installment plan. Here it arrived whole, on the day it was declared.
Nothing earned, nothing worked off.
There is a sermon sitting inside that history, and it belongs to this island long before it belongs to us. It's part of why the Government of the Cayman Islands is at the table as a sponsor, and part of why the churches here are already leaning in.
Your model assumes a city. Cayman hands you a whole country, and a small one. Three islands, a population you can count, and a church community where the pastors know each other by first name. Saturation here isn't a figure of speech.
Then there's who passes through. Cruise and air arrivals keep a rotating population on island all year, and the financial services industry brings a steady flow of visiting executives from London, New York, and Toronto. So a word spoken well in Cayman does not stay in Cayman.
And as a British Overseas Territory with real standing across the region, what happens on this stage travels into the wider Caribbean without needing to be translated first.
You've built your ministry around festivals, city movements, a global network of evangelists, and digital reach. Rise happens to touch every one of them in the same week, in the same place. What you'd want to do with that is yours to decide.

Up to 4,000 leaders in one place for several days. A Caribbean and Latin American gathering of evangelists, convened inside a festival that has already paid for the room.
The organizations flying in reach audiences in the millions through radio, broadcast, and social. Their cameras are already coming. The response mechanism gets built into all of it.
Palau festivals run twelve to thirty-six months of cultivation before the weekend itself. We're roughly twenty-one months out. That's not a coincidence we noticed late, it's the reason this letter is arriving now instead of next spring.

Rise is founded and led by Kenny Klepacki, who holds Caymanian status through his wife Kelly's family, whose roots run back generations on Cayman Brac through the Tibbetts line. He lives in this work, runs businesses on island, and answers to neighbors he sees at church.
That matters for a project like this. Cayman has seen plenty of good ideas arrive by plane and leave the same way. Rise is being built by people who have to live here afterward, which is why the churches, the Government, and Caymanian families are all already inside it rather than watching from the side.
